GAUDI'S SURFACE
Antoni Gaudi (1852 - 1926): Catalan architect.
Other name: sinusoidal conoid. |
Cartesian equation: . |
Gaudi's surface is the right conoid the directrix of which is a sinusoid located in a plane parallel to the axis (here, the directrix plane is yOz and the axis y = z = 0).
We named it this way because it was used by Gaudi for the roof of the "escoles" of the Sagrada familia in Barcelona.
