DUPLICATRIX
A duplicatrix is a curve thanks to which it is possible to solve the problem of the duplication of the cube (historically, to double the volume of the altar of the oracle of Delos) - i.e. constructing with a ruler, a compass and the curve, the number ).
Examples: the Kampyle of Eudoxus, the cissoid of Diokles, the duplicatrix cubic and the (3D) Archytas curve.
