DÜRER FOLIUM
Albrecht Dürer (1471 1528): German painter and engraver.

Polar equation: .
Cartesian parametrization: (t = q / 2). Cartesian equation: . Rationalsextic.
The Dürer folium is a special case of rose, for n = 1/2; it is therefore also a special case of epitrochoid, with q = 2 and k = 3.
It also is the inverse of the Delanges trisectrix, and therefore also has the property of trisection indicated opposite; the angle MOP is the third of AOP.
See also Freeth's nephroid which is one of its conchoids.
The Dürer folium made of a gear belt by Lévi
Caparéda.
