The neiloid is the surface
of revolution obtained by rotating a semicubical
parabola (or Neile parabola) around its axis of symmetry.
In dendometry, to calculate the volume of a trunk of negative curvature, we use the neiloid trunk formula seen above, as shown in the figure opposite: |
